  18.      _f_m_p_r_s_t_r renders a string using the current font, as set by _f_m_s_e_t_f_o_n_t. It
  19.      uses subpixel-positioning to assure that rounding errors do not cause
  20.      aberrant spacing.  It also renders rotated characters by inspecting and
  21.      concatenating the page matrix with the font matrix, then rendering in the
  22.      resulting coordinate system.  If the string is null, or the font does not
  23.      exist, _f_m_p_r_s_t_r returns -1.  Otherwise, it returns 0.
